I have to admit I’ve been pretty disappointed with the calibre of products in the January Sales this year. Naturally this didn’t stop me from buying a whole heap of goodies from Space NK.
So what was in these little black boxes of joy?
Here’s a closer look at what I bought.
I’ve wanted to try Rococo nail polish for a while but have always been put off by the £12 price tag, that’s the cost of several drugstore polishes! So when I spotted this for a mere £2.50 I snapped it up. The colour is Peace Out an olive/light khaki colour. I think this will be better as a Summer colour but will swatch it soon and do a quick review. It’s currently not available online but do keep checking back as I saw it go in and out of stock several times before I grabbed one.
I ummed and ahhed about this Laura Mercier Petite Eye Colour Trio so much before I finally bought it as I own more neutral eye shadows than a girl needs. I’m so glad I bought it though as they’re such beautiful taupe colours and it was a snip at £10. Again I will be swatching and reviewing this soon.
I would never normally consider buying the Dr Brandt Water Booster as at £30 it’s a bit steep for what’s essentially a supplement. When I spotted the Blueberry flavour anti-oxidant water booster at half price though, it seemed like the perfect boost to my January health kick. I’ve only been using it for a few days so far so can’t really comment on how effective it is, but I will write a full review once I’ve finished the bottle. If you like the sound of an added anti-oxidant boost you can still find it in the Space NK sale here.
I’ve become quite the fan of Caudalie recently, so thought I’d try out more of the range in the form of the Vinosource Nourishing Concentrate. Designed to hydrate dried out skin this will be ideal for use after travelling to rehydrate my skin. This is currently £13 in the sale.
I’ve become quite hooked on skin brightening products recently and have always wanted to try Rodial but have felt it hard to justify the high prices, so when I spotted their controversially named Skin Bleach range I thought I’d try a couple of products. You can purchase the cleanser for £21 here and the face mask for £31 here. I will be reviewing both products once I’ve used them for a few months.
Despite it not being advertised on their website, there’s free shipping on all sale items at the moment, no matter how much you spend. And speaking of delivery, Space NK is one of the few companies that know what they’re doing when it comes to delivery right now. Despite ordering after 3pm my first batch of items were shipped the same day and arrived by lunchtime the very next day. They also kindly sent me both a text and email telling me exactly when my items would arrive and the name of my delivery driver. I couldn’t have been more impressed after my poor experiences with Yodel.
Have you grabbed any beauty bargains in the January sales? I’d love to see some links if you have.
