With only a matter of weeks until we hit the slopes I’ve been on the look out for some awesome new products to try. After a bit of twitter banter the lovely Louise, founder of Natural Hero, offered to send me some products and being as accident-prone as I am I leapt at the chance.

Louise created Natural Hero after her own accident on the slopes in 2010 when she injured her shoulder after catching the tip of her skis. A couple of ibuprofen later and an application of a warming topical cream to comfort and ease the sting she came up with the idea of creating non-medicinal recovery treatments using active botanical ingredients.

I was sent both the Cool Peppermint Muscle Spritz and the Hot Ginger Muscle Rub to review. Louise recommended that I use the spritz on my lower back and quads before hitting the slopes and then the muscle rub once I get out of the shower to soothe my muscles. I will be writing a full review of each product once I’ve put them through their paces on the mountains, but on initial impressions I love the cool, quirky packaging (there’s a surfer on the barcode, how cool is that?!) and any product that tests on athletes rather than animals gets a thumbs up from me and a paws up from Cleo.
