For the last few months me and Mr G have been relaxing safe in the knowledge that we’ve got this whole wedding thing well and truly wrapped up.
It’s amazing how quickly we’ve forgotten all the stress and panic (mainly on my part!) of finding our dream rustic venue. So I thought I’d pull together a quick list of some of the positively beautiful rustic venues we saw in our quest to find The One.
Chichester Hall, Witley, Surrey
Despite it’s rather posh name this venue is in actual fact a village hall, but you wouldn’t know it from it’s beautiful exterior and with a little imagination this could be the perfect venue for those budget brides out there.
You can hire this little beauty from 2pm Friday through til 12pm Sunday for just £470, which includes the use of the kitchen and the hall’s crockery.

The Warnham Barn at Rookwood Golf Course, Surrey/Sussex border
This idyllic barn captured our heart as soon as we stumbled across it, however sharing our big day with a golf course wasn’t quite for us so we gave it a miss. If you however know your birdies from your bogeys you could bag yourself a bargain as this barn is just £300 including use of the patio area.
If you do visit this venue keep an open mind as the barn is used as a club house when it’s not being used as a venue, which means a little bit of imagination is needed to see it’s full potential.

The Red Barn, Lingfield, Surrey
This venue may not be a looker from the outside but internally it is an absolute stunner, in fact the only downside is that the venue isn’t available on a Sunday and that there’s a minimum food & drink spend. A Friday reception will cost you £1000 plus £3800 minimum food & drink spend and a Saturday reception will cost you £1200 plus £5000 minimum food & drink spend, but if you only provided the first drink I think a lot of the minimum spend could easily be covered by guests buying drinks ;)

Grittenham Barn, Tillington, West Sussex
Sadly I didn’t stumble across this venue until after we’d found our venue so this is definitely the one that got away in my mind. Set in stunning surroundings, this venue is the very image of a rustic wedding.
At a cost of £3500 it’s a little bit pricey, but as far as I’m concerned it’s definitely worth it!
You can find out more here.
And last but by no means least, it’s our very own venue…
Fitzleroi Barn, Pulborough, West Sussex
Obviously this is by far my favourite venue as this will be where we celebrate our big day next year. So what can I say? It’s a stunning barn with a lovely courtyard and even nicer owners. At a cost of £2950 which includes the tables and chairs and a whole host of other goodies, for us this was the obvious winner.
If you want to see what drew us to it you can check it out here.
If i’ve missed your dream venue or helped you in the quest to find The One, I’d love to hear from you in the comments.
